Half-day trip to TROGIR and the Roman ruins of Salona at SOLIN

Enjoy a guided walking tour of this charming town situated only 20 kilometres west of Split. The old town and the entire historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This medieval town offers a truly chillaxing experience. Watch street performers, walk through Trogir’s cobbled alleys full of life in the summer and shop for souvenirs. We then have a drink at a famous local bar Giovanni where you can taste rafioli – a delicious home-made pastry made according to traditional secret recipe. Later, you can take a stroll down the wide seaside promenade and enjoy the sunset.

We will also visit the ruins of the ancient city of Salona where a guide will take us back to ancient times when this was a glorious centre of Dalmatian province. Although its history is over 2000 years old, this was a place with thermal spa, underfloor heating and a huge 2nd century amphitheatre. Step through the monumental 1st century gate and follow the stone roads to Our Lady of the Island church. Spend some free time getting to know this “youngest child friendly city” in Croatia while enjoying the view of the river Jadro.

Full day trip to ŠIBENIK and PRIMOŠTEN

Our winter Social Program is perfect for exploring the seductive towns of Šibenik and Primošten. We first visit Šibenik’s ancient centre which offers the blend of Mediterranean architecture and wonderful beaches. Dominated by a Gothic Renaissance St James’s Cathedral as one of the finest monuments in the Adriatic, its centre is filled with alleys, steps and arches. The peninsula town of Primošten, situated 28km south of Šibenik, was once an islet just off the coast that stretches into the sea. Its lively spirit uncovers little alleys that take you up the hill to St George’s Church to watch the most amazing view of the surrounding islands. This is where we have a delicious traditional lunch in a local tavern.
