COURSE DESCRIPTION

Learn about the importance of cultural heritage in a fascinating Central European destination.

This Erasmus+ KA1 Cultural Heritage Course in Zagreb, Croatia, is designed for teachers and educational staff who wish to deepen their understanding of cultural heritage practices through experiential and outdoor learning and to integrate the acquired knowledge in their teaching of various subject areas.

Experience a hands-on approach to learning and connect with the local way of life in the capital region

From medieval fortifications and Baroque palaces to fascinating museums and lively squares, the participants of this Erasmus+ teacher training course will have the opportunity to visit and explore the history and traditions of some of the most important sites and monuments in Zagreb, Croatia and to engage in a variety of interactive and project-based activities, both outdoors and on-site.

Our best teacher trainers will take you on an experiential learning adventure through magnificent Upper Town (Gornji Grad), the historic Stone Gate (Kamenita Vrata), the world-renowned Museum of Broken Relationships, the Mirogoj Cemetery (an architectural masterpiece), the Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the beautiful green “Lenuci Horseshoe” park system.

The course also includes interactive workshops that let you explore your creative side and engage with traditional continental arts and crafts or storytelling, hands-on or by using digital tools. The workshops will cover various topics that are problem-solving, project-based, and critical thinking-oriented.
