Course Description

Strengthening leadership and management within educational institutions has become a key priority in global education policies. Effective leadership plays a vital role in improving organizational performance by influencing staff motivation, professional capacity, and the overall school climate. Strong leadership is essential for promoting both efficiency and equity across all levels of education.

This Erasmus+ KA1 course is designed to support school principals, vice principals, and educational decision-makers in developing the skills required for successful leadership. Participants will explore core elements of educational leadership, including school organization and management, strategic school visits, conflict management, advanced communication, problem-solving, stress reduction techniques, relaxation practices, school-focused public relations strategies, and the practical application of leadership principles.

The program offers a hands-on approach to both strategic and operational leadership challenges in education. Through case studies, practical exercises, and collaborative discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into managing school organizations effectively. This course serves as a comprehensive resource for educational leaders seeking to strengthen their leadership capacity while contributing to the success, sustainability, and well-being of their school communities.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Apply effective conflict resolution strategies to strengthen teamwork and collaboration
• Develop soft skills that support burnout prevention, team empowerment, and efficient task management
• Enhance advanced communication skills for positive engagement with staff, students, parents, and stakeholders
• Use problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques to improve decision-making in schools
• Manage stress through mindfulness and relaxation practices to support sustainable leadership
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills that inspire teams and promote a positive school culture
• Design and implement school-specific PR strategies, including effective use of digital platforms
• Plan and conduct purposeful school visits that encourage reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Participants will also gain insight into the Croatian educational system through guided school visits, learning how schools are organized and managed, including teaching practices, projects, and extracurricular activities. Visits to various primary and secondary schools, vocational institutions, and centers of excellence provide opportunities for professional exchange and collaboration with experienced Croatian school leaders.
