COURSE DESCRIPTION

Strengthen Your Understanding of Climate Change and Sustainability

This Erasmus+ KA1 course is created for teachers, educators, school staff, and school leaders who want to deepen their awareness of climate change, sustainability, and environmental protection. Safeguarding seas and freshwater ecosystems is one of the most important challenges of the future, and this course will help participants understand why—and how—to address it.

Discover the Mediterranean’s Aquatic Ecosystems

Although global warming can feel overwhelming, educators still have the power to influence the mindset of the next generation. By learning how to promote sustainable habits, we can inspire meaningful change. The course takes place in the stunning Mediterranean city of Split, providing the perfect setting to explore environmental topics and the importance of protecting seas and waters.

Develop Environmental Awareness Through Theory and Hands-On Experience

During this Erasmus+ KA1 training, you will be introduced to fundamental environmental concepts, including what defines an ecosystem and the impact of pollution on our world.
Our experienced teacher trainers will take you directly to the shoreline so you can learn outdoors—on the beach, by the waterfront, and along the Adriatic coast. You will also explore the rivers and streams of Dalmatia, helping you better understand the richness and fragility of aquatic environments.

Learn Practical Strategies & Inspire Environmental Awareness in Students

The course places strong emphasis on practical, student-centered strategies for exploring aquatic environments. You will discover classroom-ready activities that help young people understand environmental challenges and adopt sustainable habits.
Since students are the ultimate target group, participants will not only develop their own ecological awareness but also learn how to guide learners in adopting environmentally responsible attitudes and behaviors.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, participants will:

• Strengthen their understanding of climate change, sustainability, and environmental protection
• Learn directly in aquatic environments of the Adriatic Sea, rivers, and streams of Dalmatia
• Become familiar with the value and benefits of outdoor learning
• Explore practical approaches to addressing environmental issues
• Apply newly acquired knowledge with students in classroom and school settings
