Split – Teaching Cultural Heritage Through Experiential Learning in Split, Croatia

Course Description

Discover the breathtaking cultural heritage of Split, Croatia, while learning how to integrate cultural experiences into your classroom. This Erasmus+ KA1 course is designed for teachers and educational staff seeking to deepen their understanding of cultural heritage practices through experiential, hands-on, and outdoor learning.

Participants will explore Split’s rich history and vibrant local culture through interactive, project-based activities at iconic sites. From ancient Roman ruins to modern art masterpieces, experience the heritage of Diocletian’s Palace, Salona (the Roman provincial center), the Ivan Meštrović Gallery, Sinj, the Ethnographic Museum, and the historic Varoš neighborhood.

Interactive workshops will enable participants to develop their creative skills and explore traditional arts and crafts, including hands-on and digital tools. Activities are designed to promote problem-solving, project-based learning, and critical thinking.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
