COURSE DESCRIPTION

Deepen your knowledge of cultural heritage in a captivating Mediterranean setting

Our Erasmus+ KA1 Cultural Heritage Course in Split is created for educators and school staff who wish to broaden their perspective on cultural heritage through hands-on, experiential, and outdoor learning. Participants will learn how to bring these insights into their own teaching practice across various subjects.

Immerse yourself in local traditions and experience the Dalmatian lifestyle firsthand

From impressive Roman remains to contemporary artistic expressions, participants will explore key historical sites, monuments, and cultural landmarks in and around Split. The programme includes a variety of outdoor, interactive, and project-oriented activities conducted directly at heritage locations.

Our experienced trainers will guide you through an experiential exploration of Diocletian’s Palace, Salona—once the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia—the Meštrović Gallery dedicated to Croatia’s celebrated sculptor, the town of Sinj, the Ethnographic Museum, the historical neighbourhood of Varoš, and several other inspiring destinations.

You will also take part in creative workshops focusing on traditional crafts and artistic expression, using both hands-on techniques and digital tools. All sessions are built around problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative tasks.

Gain practical tools for integrating heritage topics into your classroom

Through guided tours, thought-provoking discussions, lectures, and interactive practical activities, participants will develop new skills, ideas, and strategies for incorporating cultural heritage into their educational practice.
