COURSE DESCRIPTION

In today’s globalised world, classrooms are becoming increasingly diverse—bringing together students with different cultures, languages, identities, and worldviews. The key question is: Are teachers prepared to support this diversity and turn it into a strength?

This Erasmus course equips educators with the tools and strategies needed to cultivate inclusive, respectful, and culturally aware learning environments. Participants will explore practical methods to counter prejudice, reduce bias, and foster a sense of belonging among all students.

Through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and meaningful discussions, you will learn how to build bridges between cultures and support students in connecting with one another. The course places strong emphasis on empathy, soft skills, critical thinking, and intercultural dialogue—essential competencies for any modern classroom.

You will also gain teambuilding techniques that help create stronger bonds within student groups, supporting cooperation, understanding, and emotional well-being. These skills contribute to lasting positive change in your classroom, your school community, and beyond.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will:

• explore different aspects of culture and how they shape students’ identities and behaviour 
• develop practical tools and exercises to reduce prejudice and discrimination
