Enhancing Classroom Engagement Through Drama Techniques

In many classrooms, students tend to use their receptive skills far more frequently than their productive ones. Teachers often rely heavily on textbooks or handouts, leaving limited space for creative expression. Drama strategies, however, are widely recognized as everyday tools of innovative educators. These methods help learners strengthen their speaking abilities while fostering imagination, comprehension, and active participation. They can boost performance skills and offer dynamic ways to involve students more deeply in the learning process.

Because maintaining student engagement is one of the biggest challenges teachers face, introducing drama-based lessons can significantly enrich the learning experience. These approaches encourage higher levels of motivation and participation in class tasks.
