COURSE DESCRIPTION

Shape engaging stories with modern storytelling methods and use them as the foundation of your digital content strategy.

During this Erasmus+ course in Split, Croatia, you will explore how narrative techniques can strengthen your digital presence and improve the impact of your content. You will work with Canva to develop attractive visuals for newsletters and social media, essential elements of digital storytelling. You will also discover useful approaches to digital writing that help you craft high-quality blog posts with appealing titles and well-chosen keywords to increase online visibility. In addition, you will gain practical skills in using E-Learning Platforms to organize digital classrooms and educational materials effectively.

Boost your creativity with online video tools and learn to produce engaging visual materials

Strengthening your own digital competences, as well as those of your students, brings positive changes to the teaching process. As ICT becomes a more important part of education every year, you will learn how to integrate filmmaking and photography into your lessons in a creative way. Through project-based activities, you will practice capturing, assembling and editing photos and video clips using suitable applications and software.

Strengthen your critical thinking – a key skill of the 21st century

Learn to question the origin and quality of online information so you can better address the challenge of misinformation. By putting on your “critical thinking glasses,” you will explore the difference between facts and opinions, problem-solving strategies, and other essential concepts for any content creator in today’s digital world.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will develop the following competences:

• Recognise and assess different forms of digital content 
• Use storytelling methods to build engaging narratives and organise content clearly 
• Combine text, images and video to produce high-quality digital videos 
• Gain familiarity with e-learning platforms and manage digital classrooms successfully 
• Use various ICT tools, apps and online platforms such as Canva, Vita, GooseChase, Moodle and more
• Understand the idea of “digital media strategy” and apply it when producing optimized content (blogs, newsletters, social media materials) 
• Transform lessons into problem-based or project-based activities 
• Apply ICT in the classroom to improve creativity and learner motivation 
• Explore the basics of critical thinking, lead constructive discussions, identify fake news and distinguish facts from opinions
