Course Description

In today’s classrooms, capturing and maintaining students’ attention is one of the biggest challenges teachers face. Distraction is everywhere — but so are opportunities to engage learners in new, exciting ways.

This course is designed to help teachers rediscover the art of attention using modern digital tools and interactive methods that transform learning into an active, focused experience. Participants will explore how technology can support — not replace — meaningful learning, creativity, and connection.

Through hands-on workshops, group challenges, and reflection activities, you’ll discover strategies that make every lesson more dynamic, inclusive, and memorable.

THE SCIENCE OF ATTENTION IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Attention is a skill — and it can be taught.
In this part of the course, teachers will learn about how attention works, what causes distractions, and which teaching techniques help students stay present and motivated.

We’ll combine neuroscience insights with practical classroom tools that improve focus, from short movement breaks and brain-based techniques to smart use of digital media. You’ll learn to design lessons that respect students’ attention span while keeping curiosity alive.

TECH THAT TEACHES: ENGAGING DIGITAL TOOLS

Discover a curated set of digital tools that promote participation, creativity, and collaboration — not just screen time.
From game-based learning platforms to storytelling, collaborative whiteboards, AI-powered tools, and augmented reality, you’ll experience how to turn technology into a student engagement ally.

Participants will design their own tech-enhanced activities ready to use in any subject area, age group, or classroom type — including hybrid and outdoor learning environments.
