I would like to express a huge thank you (Milan) for handling all the course documentation beforehand. The communication was professional, very kind, and timely. We had the most wonderful, responsive, and inspiring instructor—Dario! On the very first day, we headed to the seaside, where our first session took place. Every day was full of inspiration, and time flew by because it was all so engaging! Dario’s use of language—his pace, tone, and gestures—made it easy to follow along, even if your English isn't perfect. Dario has a unique ability to create an atmosphere where stress and anxiety simply melt away. This course is both inspiring and deeply calming! A wonderful 5 days in Split! Thank you so much! And honestly, my positive impression started even before I arrived. Communication was quick, clear and efficient from the very beginning, whether via email or WhatsApp, which made everything so easy and stress-free.

Once I got there, things turned out to be even better than I had expected. I loved the flexibility of the training sessions, the knowledge and practical ideas we were introduced to, the way the trainers communicated with us, and how thoughtfully the entire programme was organised. Everything felt natural, welcoming and well put together.

It was truly a special experience, one that definitely wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card, but I couldn’t be happier that it happened! I came home with new perspectives, fresh ideas and plenty of things to reflect on. I know that many of the things I learned will gradually find their way into both my professional practice and my everyday life.

What made this experience even more special was the people behind it. You can genuinely feel their passion, dedication and love for what they do. They are wonderful people and committed educators who make you feel welcome, valued and encouraged to learn.

I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone considering an Erasmus course in Split. Don’t hesitate, just go!

I would absolutely love to come back in the future, either for another training course or for a possible collaboration. Some experiences stay with you long after they are over, and this is definitely one of them.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From 12–16 October I attended an Erasmus+ teacher training course in Split. It was my first Erasmus + experience, and it exceeded all my expectations.
A huge thank you to our trainer Dario Čaljkušić. His sessions were warm, lively and truly meaningful. Dario created a calm and safe atmosphere where I felt welcome from the very first day. From him I learned the most important lesson: everything should be done lightly, step by step, without rush or stress. During this week I found peace, and I have brought it back to my work with children.
This course also gave me new friends. Meeting colleagues from different countries, our conversations and sharing experiences were incredibly valuable.
I warmly recommend this course to every educator, especially those who feel tired. Thank you, Dario, and the whole Erasmus + Courses Croatia team!

Across Europe and the world, educators are being called to take a leading role in addressing the defining challenges of our time — climate change, social inclusion, and democratic participation. The new Erasmus+ priorities place sustainability and active citizenship at the very heart of education, encouraging schools to transform these global goals into meaningful, local action.

This course is designed to bridge global priorities with everyday classroom practice. Through a mix of theory, project-based learning, and outdoor experiential activities, participants will learn how to integrate sustainability and citizenship into the curriculum in a creative, collaborative, and student-centered way.

By the end of the week, you will not only understand the frameworks behind Europe’s Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also have the tools to translate them into real school projects that engage students, build community, and make learning purposeful.

CONNECTING GLOBAL GOALS TO CLASSROOM ACTION

Educators will explore how global frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Education Area can inspire concrete classroom initiatives. Through guided workshops, you will design activities that connect environmental literacy, global awareness, and civic responsibility to subjects across the curriculum.

The focus is on practical implementation: creating student-led projects that reduce waste, promote biodiversity, encourage empathy, and raise awareness about local and global sustainability challenges.

SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH EXPERIENCE AND COLLABORATION

Learning for sustainability is most powerful when it happens through experience. Participants will take part in outdoor sessions and community-based tasks that model hands-on sustainability education — from environmental audits to creative upcycling and nature-based learning.

You will also gain strategies for embedding sustainability into your school culture, including greening your school, developing eco-plans, and connecting with local partners or European networks to make your initiatives more visible and impactful.

CITIZENSHIP AND PARTICIPATION IN THE 21ST-CENTURY CLASSROOM

Citizenship education is more than teaching about rights — it’s about empowering participation and developing the skills of empathy, cooperation, and critical thinking.
This part of the course helps educators guide students in exploring real societal issues through debates, simulations, and project-based learning, fostering a sense of responsibility and agency.

Participants will discover how sustainability and citizenship naturally overlap — both teaching students that they are part of something larger, and that their actions matter.
