Inspiring Leadership and Cultural Exchange in Split From April 11 to 17 I had the opportunity to join the course “Strategic Leadership and Management for Principals, Vice Principals and Other School Policymakers” in Split. That week the training centre "MAKSIMA" (Ul. Nikole Tesle 16A, Split) welcomed 101 participants from 15 countries, creating a truly inspiring international atmosphere. What stood out most to me was how openly we shared challenges and worked together on practical solutions. Stepping into leadership roles during activities made the experience very real, helping me reflect on my own approach to decision-making. The sessions were engaging and varied—even taking place outdoors at times—which kept the energy high. A big takeaway for me was the importance of soft skills in leadership—not just understanding them, but thinking about how to develop them within our own school communities. Beyond the learning, experiencing Dalmatian culture and meeting such passionate educators at the training centre "MAKSIMA" made the week especially memorable. I left Split feeling motivated, more confident in my leadership perspective and grateful for the connections I made. Jelena M. It was wonderful to meet so many people from different countries who are working for the same cause but in different ways. I highly recommend going on a course at the beginning of accreditation because it gives you lots of contacts to make use of. The course itself "Collaboration; Teamwork and Teambuilding" was superbly led by Dario who carried out many exercises with us and stories that gave us the opportunity to think about what is important in our work with teaching and daily life. Experiencing the Croatian culture gives an additional positive framework to the course.Posted on Teresa Olofsson2026-04-19Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Resilient Educator course has been developed to respond to the growing pressures teachers encounter in today’s increasingly complex educational landscape. Acknowledging that the emotional, cognitive, and social load of teaching is often underestimated, this program offers a holistic pathway to improving well-being and preventing burnout through mindfulness-based approaches. Its goal is to provide educators with practical tools to manage stress, support emotional balance, and nurture a constructive mindset—ultimately contributing to higher job satisfaction and long-term commitment to the profession.

Supporting Teacher Well-Being
Participants will explore a range of practical mindfulness techniques designed to ease stress and strengthen both emotional and mental well-being. By learning strategies that deepen emotional regulation, improve concentration, and encourage empathy, teachers gain resources for creating a more balanced and fulfilling work life. Hands-on activities conducted in an outdoor, nature-based environment allow educators to experience mindfulness directly. These experiences help build a strong foundation for enhanced life satisfaction, healthier relationships, and a more sustainable work–life rhythm.

Bringing Mindfulness into the Classroom
In addition to personal benefits, the course highlights ways to integrate mindfulness into everyday teaching practice. Educators will examine approaches to supporting students as they develop emotional and cognitive capacities essential for resilience, adaptability, and a strong sense of purpose. By applying mindfulness in the classroom, teachers can cultivate a nurturing, creative learning environment that supports academic progress while also encouraging students’ personal growth and inner stability.

Experiential, Practice-Focused Learning
Rooted in research-backed techniques and guided by skilled mindfulness practitioners, the course follows an experiential learning model that emphasizes the principle of “teaching through practice.” Educators not only learn the concepts but also embody the mindful attitudes they hope to encourage in their students. Through immersive activities, participants develop sustainable mindfulness habits that can be maintained over time, contributing to continued well-being and long-term success for both teachers and learners.
