COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for educators who want to create a more inclusive, understanding, and supportive classroom environment. Through practical activities, reflection, and guided discussions, participants explore how empathy, mindfulness, and critical thinking can help students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.

The program encourages intercultural understanding by focusing on how to model empathy and mindful behavior. Participants will learn how to guide students to stay present, appreciate small moments, and develop gratitude. A key idea in the course is understanding the difference between reaction and response. This approach supports conflict prevention, reduces bullying, and strengthens communication inside the school community.
Critical thinking is another important theme. By encouraging open-minded conversations, teachers learn how to help students understand different viewpoints, question assumptions, and build respectful dialogue. These skills support a more peaceful and engaged classroom.

The course also highlights soft skills such as cooperation, teamwork, and flexibility. Participants learn strategies to support true inclusion and respond to different learning needs. By celebrating cultural diversity and promoting understanding, educators take an important step toward positive social change in their schools.
Sessions are guided by our resident psychologist and mindfulness instructor, Dario Caljkusic, who holds an Honors degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, USA. His teaching style is interactive and inspiring—supportive, insightful, and often filled with humor.
