DUBROVNIK – The 4Cs in Nature: Boosting Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In today’s globalized world, classrooms filled with different cultures, backgrounds, and identities have become the norm. This Erasmus course is designed to help teachers build the skills needed to guide students toward openness, cooperation, and mutual understanding. Through practical methods and hands-on activities, participants discover how to create learning environments where every student feels valued and included.

The course focuses on strengthening the four essential competences—Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration—by connecting them with nature-based learning. Working outdoors helps participants explore new ways of encouraging problem-solving, curiosity, and teamwork. It also supports emotional well-being and inspires fresh teaching ideas that can be used across subjects.

Throughout the week, teachers take part in interactive workshops, group discussions, outdoor challenges, and team-building tasks. These activities show how to handle cultural differences, reduce prejudice, and promote empathy in a natural and engaging way. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design inclusive activities, support positive group dynamics, and help students develop respect for each other’s perspectives.
