DUBROVNIK – Implementing Intercultural Education to Support Diversity in the Classroom

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In today’s global world, classrooms are becoming more diverse, with many cultures, identities, and backgrounds represented. Teachers often face the challenge of supporting all learners while also creating an atmosphere of respect and openness. This course helps teachers develop the skills needed to guide students in a multicultural and inclusive environment.

This Erasmus course focuses on reducing prejudice, promoting empathy, and building understanding through practical, interactive learning. Participants explore exercises, methods, and strategies that support diversity and help students feel connected and valued in the classroom.

The course includes workshops, group discussions, and practical activities designed for teachers working in multicultural schools. Special attention is given to soft skills, communication, and critical thinking, helping teachers guide students toward respect, tolerance, and collaboration. Team-building techniques are also introduced to help strengthen classroom relationships and create a supportive learning community.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will:
