COURSE DESCRIPTION

Become a Language Teacher for the 21st Century

This Erasmus+ KA1 course has been developed by foreign language teachers specifically for their colleagues in the field. The constant demand for innovation in the 21st century encourages the ongoing creation of fresh and creative methodological techniques. Participants will explore how to integrate blended learning—which merges traditional instruction with digital media—along with mobile learning and elements of gamification.

Introduce Contemporary Methods & Increase Student Participation

Today, language educators must adopt interactive and engaging methods of instruction. In this course, foreign language teachers will gain a solid understanding of modern, innovative teaching approaches. These methods form an essential part of updating and evolving the entire language teaching system. Now more than ever, involving students in content creation and promoting a student-centered classroom—with a practical, hands-on style—has become fundamental.

Utilize Interactive Tools to Inspire and Motivate Learners

Every teacher strives to sustain students’ attention, interest, and motivation. For this reason, our experienced Erasmus trainers will highlight the value of using games, quizzes, and interactive materials during lessons. Teachers will also learn how to efficiently create these materials using simple, effective digital tools, enabling them to enrich their classroom experience in a short amount of time.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will develop the following competencies:

• Learn to incorporate digital technologies into foreign language teaching
• Gain the ability to apply digital tools in teaching, learning, and assessment to create a dynamic and engaging environment
• Prepare for the use of various ICT tools, apps, and online platforms
• Use information and communication technologies to boost motivation and creativity in the classroom
• Work with tools such as Plickers, QR Codes, Google Forms for Escape Rooms, Goosechase, Jeopardy-style games, board games, Wordwall, Quizlet, and Flipgrid
• Integrate project-based learning and foster critical-thinking skills
• Gain inspiration for applying digital technologies in lessons and practice designing more advanced presentations
