DUBROVNIK – Drama Tools for Educators

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Enhance student engagement and creativity by incorporating drama into your teaching practice. This Erasmus+ KA1 course is designed for educators who want to move beyond textbooks and worksheets and actively involve students through drama-based techniques. Participants will learn practical strategies to develop speaking skills, improve understanding, and foster creativity in the classroom, making lessons more interactive and motivating.

Drama strategies help students engage more deeply with content, boost their confidence, and improve collaborative learning. By integrating these techniques, educators can enhance classroom dynamics, increase student motivation, and improve learning outcomes. High levels of engagement also contribute to better student behavior and respect for others’ rights.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will acquire the following competencies:

• Apply drama strategies to improve language proficiency and collaborative learning.
  
• Use drama techniques to enhance vocabulary, fluency, communication, and pronunciation in language teaching.
  
• Help students overcome fear of public speaking through interactive drama activities.
  
• Develop both students’ and teachers’ soft skills.
  
• Use improvisation to promote critical thinking and self-awareness in learning.
