COURSE DESCRIPTION

Use Narrative Skills to Capture Attention

If maintaining student motivation and engagement has become a challenge, this Erasmus+ KA1 course may offer exactly what you need. Integrating digital storytelling into your lessons can not only strengthen students’ digital competencies and enthusiasm but also help them express themselves more confidently.

Many learners enjoy sharing stories yet find it difficult to put them on paper, often feeling stressed when required to write. Allowing them to use their digital abilities to craft narratives can boost critical thinking and enhance important soft skills.

Use ICT Tools to Develop Creative Stories

Establishing a digital classroom environment supports collaboration among students and enriches their learning experience. This approach can even help to prevent early school leaving, which frequently stems from low motivation and lack of engagement.
Throughout this Erasmus teacher training course, participants will explore how to produce videos using various apps, and they will become familiar with Canva for designing visually appealing presentations—an essential component of storytelling.

Guide Students Through Video Production and Editing

Furthermore, enhancing both your own and your students’ digital literacy and ICT skills will positively influence your classroom practice. As technology continues to grow in importance, you will discover creative methods for integrating information technology into lessons, including the introduction of photography and filmmaking activities for students.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will develop the following competences:

• Integrate storytelling into their classroom practice
• Understand how to craft engaging stories and structure narrative flow
• Expand their IT skills and apply them effectively in teaching
• Gain insight into storytelling components such as suspense, background details, and plot development
• Use digital tools like BookCreator and Storybook
• Produce a video to be used as an educational storytelling resource
• Strengthen their English language abilities
