Learn about the importance of cultural heritage in the Pearl of the Adriatic
This Erasmus+ KA1 Cultural Heritage Course in Dubrovnik, Croatia, is designed for teachers and educational staff who wish to deepen their understanding of cultural heritage practices through experiential and outdoor learning and to integrate the acquired knowledge in their teaching of various subject areas.
Experience a hands-on approach to learning and connect with the local way of life in Dalmatia region
From the medieval stories to the pristine natural reserves, participants of this Erasmus+ teacher training course will have the opportunity to visit and explore the history and traditions of some of the most important sites and monuments in Dubrovnik, Croatia and to engage in a variety of interactive and project-based activities, both outdoors and on-site.
Our expert teacher trainers will guide participants on an experiential learning journey through Dubrovnik’s stunning Old Town, where they’ll explore prominent museums and cultural landmarks.
From medieval palaces to serene island retreats, participants will immerse themselves in the city’s rich history and heritage through curated experiences at some of its most renowned museums and attractions.
The course also includes interactive workshops that let you explore your creative side and engage with traditional arts and crafts making, hands-on or by using digital tools. The workshops will cover various topics, that are problem-solving, project-based and critical thinking oriented.
Acquire the tools and methods for integrating cultural heritage into your classroom
Through sightseeing tours, lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops, the participants will broaden their collaboration skills, knowledge, and experiential approach to learning.
As a result, participants will know how to raise awareness of the importance of all cultural areas, strengthen the sense of European identity and diversity, and last but not least, promote social inclusion, and use this knowledge to create a healthy classroom of open-minded and ambitious young people!
Overall, the participants will increase their appreciation for cultural heritage and enrich their future travels and experiences, as well as develop a critical perspective on the relationship between cultural heritage and contemporary society.
