COURSE DESCRIPTION

Craft compelling narratives with storytelling techniques and use them to shape your digital strategy

During this Erasmus+ course in Dubrovnik, Croatia, you will discover how to harness the immersive nature of storytelling when developing your digital strategy and content. You’ll learn to work with Canva to design attractive social media posts and newsletters—powerful tools for telling stories online. Participants will also gain knowledge of digital writing techniques that support the creation of high-quality blog articles. Master the skill of crafting attention-grabbing headlines and applying keywords to increase the visibility of your digital work. Additionally, you will become familiar with e-learning platforms, enabling you to confidently design, manage, and organize digital classrooms and educational materials.

Unleash your creativity through online video production and editing tools

Enhancing both your own and your students’ digital literacy will enrich your overall teaching practice. As ICT grows increasingly essential, you will explore creative ways to use information technology and introduce filmmaking and photography to your learners. Through project-based activities, you will create, edit, and assemble videos and images using suitable software tools, giving you hands-on experience in producing engaging visual content.

Strengthen your critical thinking—one of the key skills of the 21st century

Develop an analytical mindset toward the origin and reliability of digital content to address the growing challenge of fake news—one of today’s most relevant issues. You will examine problem-solving strategies and distinguish facts from opinions, a crucial task for any digital content creator navigating today’s fast-paced information landscape.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will gain the following competencies:

• Identify and evaluate various forms of digital content
• Understand the concept of a digital media strategy and apply it by creating optimized content (blogs, newsletters, social media posts)
• Use storytelling techniques to craft engaging narratives and structure stories effectively
• Combine text, visuals, and video to produce high-quality digital media
• Acquire knowledge of e-learning platforms to manage digital classrooms efficiently
• Use ICT tools, apps, and platforms such as Canva, Vita, Goosechase, Moodle, and others
• Convert lessons into problem- and project-based learning experiences
• Apply information and communication technology to increase motivation and creativity in the classroom
• Gain an introduction to critical thinking: promote constructive discussions, address fake news, and accurately differentiate between facts and opinions
