Boosting Teachers’ Resilience, Positive Thinking & Problem Solving
Stefania Pertoldi2025-05-18 Having such a competent and committed staff to work with has been an absolute pleasure. I've learned so much from each of you. What I particularly loved was the Babel of languages in which I was constantly immersed - very emotional. Dovile Stapušaitytė2025-05-18 I recently attended an Erasmus+ course focused on AI tools in education, and overall, the experience was excellent. The trainers were professional and well-prepared, often incorporating interactive activities that helped bring the theory into real-world classroom use. Maria Oliveira2025-05-18 Staying in Split and learning with Ivana, Marjana and Dario was an amazing experience. Both the lessons and the social activities were very well organised. I would definitely recommend all teachers to take part in a course with Erasmus+ Courses Croatia. Jovita Sabaliauskiene2025-05-18 The best course that I have ever had. Dario ❤️ Anita Russo2025-05-18 What an amazing experience! Just finished the Erasmus+ course in Split all about using Artificial Intelligence in teaching – an intense, inspiring, and super practical week full of fresh ideas to rethink how we teach. I explored new tools, tried out creative AI-based activities and tasks, worked with teachers from all over Europe, and reflected on how powerful technology can be when used with purpose and creativity. I’m heading home with a mind full of ideas, new tools to use with my students, and a suitcase packed with great international connections. Huge thanks to Erasmus Courses Croatia for their professionalism, passion, and flawless organization! Every activity was well thought out, and the atmosphere was always warm and motivating. A special shout-out to the amazing trainers – always helpful, skilled, and full of contagious positive energy! Thanks everyone for the energy, inspiration and great vibes! Marit Ulstein Guldal2025-05-18 The best week of my life! Professional, organized, great quality of the courses, social, wonderful! Christina Laura Tsirogianni2025-05-18 I fully recommend participating in the mindfulness and better mental health course! We spent six days learning about not only this but also about ourselves. These courses surprised me with the amount of positivity, warm people, theory but also some practice and tool recommendations. Thank you! Agelija Menzoriene2025-05-18 The best course I've ever been!
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Teachers feel they have to live up to many expectations in the 21st century.
They are expected to successfully guide students through many difficult learning stages and ensure good grades and students’ satisfaction & well being. They are expected to motivate and understand students, give good feedback and remain positive throughout the academic process. Furthermore, they often juggle between students’ feelings, parents’ expectations and societal pressures. Their job is often viewed as minimally demanding yet safe, with ‘too many’ vacation days yet too few contact hours. This often leads to job dissatisfaction and possibly burnout.
This course emphasizes a positive approach to working in the school system. We will learn how to make stress our friend, focus on positive affirmations, learn how to let go of the negative self-talk. Gratitude will be practiced, humor will be used, self-motivating methods will be implemented. We will explore strategies such as emotional management, self-control, building empathy and compassion to rediscover resilience and render life more manageable and pleasant.
The ultimate goal is to flourish in a state of well-being whilst recognizing our own strengths and setting our auto-pilot to positive. We will achieve this through teambuilding exercises that foster a sense of belonging which can, in turn, be projected onto our students. By identifying and analyzing the strengths necessary for achieving well-being and behaving resiliently, we will collaborate to find ways of navigating emotional highs and lows in ways that promote mental, emotional, and physical health.
Our resident psychologist and Mindfulness instructor, Dario Caljkusic, holds an Honors degree from Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Ore, USA. His course is both engaging and thought-provoking, entertaining yet introspective. As our former course participants Jane, Mette, Ditte & Lise-Lotte from Denmark wrote about Dario: “Thank you so much for the most exciting course. You have been fantastic, motivating teacher.”
