I had a very mindful week in Split partaking in the course: Building better mental health and wellbeing. The methods we were introduced to will be helpful in managing the everyday stress of teaching. It was great to have a local teacher, who could share info about the Croatian culture as well as the course material. The additional social program was lovely as well and the guides provided us with insights into Croatian history and culture and showed us some truly special places.Posted on Heidi Kohi2026-08-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We spent seven days in Split attending the course “Inclusion & Diversity in the Classroom – Teaching Empathy, Mindfulness & Critical Thinking.” The course was extremely well organised, and our teachers, Dario and Ivana, were absolutely incredibly professional and skilled. The classes were held in air-conditioned classrooms, which was especially welcome in the August heat, and the topics were truly interesting and thought-provoking. There were plenty of hands-on activities, and the course provided lots of practical ideas both for our own well-being and for supporting students and building a positive group atmosphere. The ideas will be easy to adapt and apply in our own work. Both Dario and Ivana were exceptionally attentive to everyone in the group and managed to take the different personalities and needs of the participants into account in all the activities. There was never a shortage of humour, laughter or fun during the lessons! The days were skilfully structured, with a great balance between classroom activities and activities outside the school. We also had the opportunity to learn about the local history and culture, while still having enough time to connect and build relationships with colleagues from other parts of Europe. Despite the August heat, the days simply flew by. In fact, the only downside of the course was that it ended far too quickly! A warm recommendation for this course, and a huge thank you once again to our absolutely wonderful, fun and talented teachers, Dario and Ivana, for these enriching and inspiring days! I truly hope we will meet again someday! Pomalo!Posted on Simka Kolenčíková2026-08-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Latest Digital, ICT & AI Solutions for Educators – an Erasmus+ course in Split I had a wonderful experience during my Erasmus+ course in Split. From the very beginning, everything was very well organised, and the atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and welcoming. I really appreciated Dario’s support and approach during the introductory presentations. A special thank you goes to my trainer, Mimi, who taught us so many useful and inspiring things. I have already started thinking about how I can use what I learned in my own teaching practice. Mimi was not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but also a genuinely kind and inspiring person. I really appreciate people who approach their work with such enthusiasm, dedication and love. I would also like to thank the whole Erasmus Courses Croatia team for being so kind, helpful and supportive throughout the course. Everything was organised perfectly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I truly enjoyed my time in Split and would be very happy to come back again — hopefully next time together with my colleagues. I especially appreciated the focus on mindfulness and the importance of being present in the moment. The activities in the park, particularly the blindfold walking exercise, were a powerful experience and gave me new ideas to bring into my personal and professional practice. Thank you, Dario and Ivana for this inspiring experience. I hope to continue exploring these practices and, perhaps, to have the opportunity to bring this experience to our school in Naples in the future!Posted on Dumitras Carmen2026-08-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Course Description
In an era of rapid technological evolution, educators often struggle to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Tools like ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Gemini are no longer just “tech trends”—they are fundamentally reshaping how we plan lessons, engage students, and assess learning.
However, a “Smart Classroom” is about more than just using the latest software; it requires a deep understanding of ethics and the ability to maintain critical thinking in a world of automated answers. This course, set in the historic and sun-drenched city of Split, is designed for teachers who want to master AI tools while keeping the human element at the heart of education.
Through hands-on workshops, we will explore how to balance high-tech efficiency with the relaxed “Pomalo” lifestyle—learning to work smarter, not harder, so you can focus on what truly matters: your students.

UNBURDEN THE WORKLOAD
Modern teaching often feels like a race against the clock. Erasmus Courses Croatia recognizes that AI is the ultimate assistant for unburdening teachers. By leveraging AI models like DeepSeek and ChatGPT, you can automate repetitive administrative tasks, generate rubrics in seconds, and draft parent communications instantly.
This course provides practical, step-by-step training on using platforms like MagicSchool to reclaim your time. We believe that a teacher who isn’t overwhelmed is a teacher who can truly inspire.

ETHICS & CRITICAL THINKING
AI brings up big questions: Is this cheating? Is the information biased? Are we losing our ability to think for ourselves? Unlike standard tech courses, we dive deep into the ethical landscape. We will show you how to turn these challenges into “teachable moments,” using AI to actually sharpen student logic. You will learn how to teach students to fact-check AI “hallucinations” and understand the moral implications of data privacy and algorithmic bias.
PROTECTING THE LEARNING LOOP
A key theme of this course is the growing risk that AI separates confidence from real competence. Research shows that students often feel more certain because an AI answer looks polished, even when it is factually wrong. If we allow AI to remove the struggle of learning, students stop checking, stop improving, and stop thinking.
We don’t teach you how to “ban” AI; we teach you how to build “Interruption Points”—practical classroom strategies that slow the process down and bring back reasoning, accountability, and genuine student inquiry.

ENHANCE PEDAGOGICAL CREATIVITY
AI is a spark for your imagination. We will explore how AI-driven design tools can turn a simple lesson into a visual masterpiece. From generating personalized stories for language learning to creating interactive science simulations, you will learn to use AI as a “co-pilot” for creativity. By the end of the week, you will have a digital toolkit ready to transform your classroom into a dynamic hub of innovation.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Redefining Integrity: Create clear classroom expectations on what counts as legitimate AI support versus plagiarism.
- The Feedback Guard: Learn to use AI in a way that protects the “practice-and-correction” loop essential for deep learning.
- AI vs. Human Logic: Understand why generative AI sounds so convincing even when it “hallucinates” (and how to show this to students).
- The Educator’s Policy Toolkit: Walk away with ready-to-use AI-use levels, disclosure forms, and assignment templates to set clear boundaries for students and parents.
- Prompt Engineering for Teachers: Learn how to write “smart prompts” to get the exact lesson plans and assessments you need.
- The Ethical Compass: Understand how to navigate plagiarism, bias, and data privacy in a school setting.
- Fostering Critical Minds: Develop strategies to teach students how to question and verify AI-generated content.
- The Split Experience: Integrate the “Pomalo” philosophy into your professional life to reduce stress and prevent burnout.
