COURSE DESCRIPTION

The rapid pace of climate change is transforming our environment and daily lives in remarkable ways. Although global warming can feel unavoidable, we still have the ability to influence younger generations by shaping sustainable habits and teaching them how to care for the planet. Taking action begins with educating ourselves so that we can guide others.

This course is designed for teachers and school staff who wish to grow their competence in environmental education and eco-conscious teaching. Throughout the training, you will deepen your awareness of current climate challenges and discover practical methods for integrating sustainable development principles into everyday classroom practice. Set in the stunning Mediterranean city of Split, the course also offers the chance to appreciate biodiversity and natural beauty in an authentic outdoor setting.

You will learn in nature and share ideas with colleagues from across Europe—walking by the sea, enjoying the sunshine, or reflecting under the shade of trees. The program covers essential topics such as responsible waste management, eco-living habits, and creative strategies that motivate young people to take action in response to environmental issues. By the end, you will feel equipped to embed environmental education into your curriculum and inspire your students to become future guardians of the planet.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will learn how to:
