COURSE DESCRIPTION

Build Essential Skills for Modern Learners

This Erasmus+ KA1 programme is created for the contemporary classroom, where teachers face an increasing need to nurture key 21st-century competencies. These include creativity, collaboration, communication, and—central to all—critical thinking.
As information and communication technologies continue transforming everyday life, educators must evolve alongside them. Critical thinking has been identified as one of the most fundamental life abilities, enabling students to reason logically, understand information clearly, and most importantly, think for themselves.

Bring Critical Thinking Practices Into Your Lessons

The core aim of this Erasmus teacher training course is to help educators teach students how to approach information analytically. Participants learn how to guide learners in examining data, interpreting evidence, and questioning sources.
You will engage in group discussions, examine case studies, and exchange examples of effective practice. Throughout the course, you will strengthen your own problem-solving skills through collaboration, clarification, evaluation, and informed decision-making.

Capture Student Interest Through Innovative Teaching Methods

Our experienced Erasmus trainers will show you how to involve students using interactive, hands-on activities.
You will explore active learning strategies and innovative techniques such as flipped classroom models and blended learning. Additionally, you will discover how to expand students’ imagination and creativity through practical storytelling activities.
Learn how to help learners become more open-minded, able to set aside assumptions, and consider alternative perspectives. By the end of the programme, participants will have expanded both their general and professional competencies.
You will be equipped to use modern teaching tools, support mixed-ability groups, manage the classroom more effectively, and increase student motivation.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will acquire the following competences:

• Develop key teaching abilities aligned with 21st-century education
• Strengthen the 4Cs: creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication
• Learn to assess information through observation, analysis, and reflection
• Understand how to design games that build soft skills in students
• Explore the benefits of drama for communication, preventing bullying, reducing early school leaving, and boosting student motivation
• Enhance collaborative problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, decision-making, and hands-on learning
• Learn how to quickly digitize the classroom using effective ICT models and frameworks
• Use applications such as Goosechase, Quizizz, Vita, Plickers, and QR codes
• Foster higher-order thinking while increasing student confidence and self-esteem
