Inspiring Leadership and Cultural Exchange in Split From April 11 to 17 I had the opportunity to join the course “Strategic Leadership and Management for Principals, Vice Principals and Other School Policymakers” in Split. That week the training centre "MAKSIMA" (Ul. Nikole Tesle 16A, Split) welcomed 101 participants from 15 countries, creating a truly inspiring international atmosphere. What stood out most to me was how openly we shared challenges and worked together on practical solutions. Stepping into leadership roles during activities made the experience very real, helping me reflect on my own approach to decision-making. The sessions were engaging and varied—even taking place outdoors at times—which kept the energy high. A big takeaway for me was the importance of soft skills in leadership—not just understanding them, but thinking about how to develop them within our own school communities. Beyond the learning, experiencing Dalmatian culture and meeting such passionate educators at the training centre "MAKSIMA" made the week especially memorable. I left Split feeling motivated, more confident in my leadership perspective and grateful for the connections I made. Jelena M. It was wonderful to meet so many people from different countries who are working for the same cause but in different ways. I highly recommend going on a course at the beginning of accreditation because it gives you lots of contacts to make use of. The course itself "Collaboration; Teamwork and Teambuilding" was superbly led by Dario who carried out many exercises with us and stories that gave us the opportunity to think about what is important in our work with teaching and daily life. Experiencing the Croatian culture gives an additional positive framework to the course.Posted on Teresa Olofsson2026-04-19Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Course Description
Boost Your Well-Being in a Relaxed and Motivating Setting
Would you like to feel more grounded, energized, and positive—both personally and in your teaching environment? This course is created for educators who want to strengthen their physical and mental well-being by embracing principles of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Through a blend of mindful practices, gentle movement, nutrition insights, and cultural experiences, you will explore practical ways to build healthy routines for yourself and your students.
Whether your aim is to reduce stress, create healthier habits, or foster a more uplifting classroom climate, the course offers hands-on experiences and simple, effective tools to support your well-being—and inspire those around you.

Discover the Mediterranean Lifestyle and Bring It to Your Classroom
Throughout the week, you will dive into the essential elements of Mediterranean living: balance, community, and slowing down. Each day includes yoga and meditation sessions to enhance concentration and inner calm, guided tastings of Mediterranean foods, and an introduction to the Dalmatian “pomalo” philosophy, which encourages taking life at a relaxed, present-paced rhythm.
You will also explore Dalmatia’s intangible cultural heritage—its traditions, stories, music, and social customs—which play an important role in nurturing resilience, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Through outdoor activities, group workshops, and reflective exercises, you will learn how to integrate these healthy habits into your everyday routine and your teaching practice. You’ll return home with the mindset and tools to support your own well-being as well as that of your students, colleagues, and school community.

Learn Through Nature, Movement & Mindful Experiences
Our trainers will guide you through diverse activities designed to boost personal well-being and help you inspire positive change. From nature-based learning and seaside walks to breathing practices and digital wellness strategies, the course supports a step-by-step approach to building healthier habits.
Whenever possible, sessions are held outdoors—by the sea, along rivers, or in parks—allowing you to connect with nature while reflecting and practicing mindfulness. You will learn how to release tension, reset mentally, and appreciate the positives already present in your life.
You will also gain ideas on how to transfer these techniques to your classroom. Teachers influence the emotional climate of their students, and this course will support you in becoming a model of mindful and health-oriented teaching.
