COURSE DESCRIPTION

Enhancing Learning with Digital Storytelling

Engaging students and keeping them motivated can be challenging. This Erasmus+ KA1 course focuses on using digital storytelling as a tool to captivate students’ interest, strengthen digital skills, and build confidence in expressing themselves creatively. Students who struggle with writing or storytelling will benefit greatly from combining their narratives with technology, helping them reduce stress and develop soft skills.

Incorporate ICT Tools to Create Stories

Creating a digital classroom fosters collaboration and improves the learning experience. This approach can also help reduce early school leaving by addressing low engagement. Participants will gain hands-on experience with video-making applications, Canva for designing compelling presentations, and platforms like Book Creator and Storyjumper for interactive digital storytelling.

Introduce Students to Video and Multimedia

Improving both teachers’ and students’ digital literacy is central to this course. Participants will explore creative ways to integrate information technology into lessons, including filmmaking, photography, and multimedia storytelling, ensuring students are actively engaged in learning through digital means.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will develop the following skills and competencies:

• Integrate storytelling into classroom activities
• Structure and craft compelling narratives
• Enhance IT skills for educational use
• Understand storytelling elements such as plot, suspense, and backstory
• Use digital tools like Book Creator and Storyjumper
• Produce educational videos as storytelling tools
• Improve their own and students’ language skills
