Inspiring Leadership and Cultural Exchange in Split From April 11 to 17 I had the opportunity to join the course “Strategic Leadership and Management for Principals, Vice Principals and Other School Policymakers” in Split. That week the training centre "MAKSIMA" (Ul. Nikole Tesle 16A, Split) welcomed 101 participants from 15 countries, creating a truly inspiring international atmosphere. What stood out most to me was how openly we shared challenges and worked together on practical solutions. Stepping into leadership roles during activities made the experience very real, helping me reflect on my own approach to decision-making. The sessions were engaging and varied—even taking place outdoors at times—which kept the energy high. A big takeaway for me was the importance of soft skills in leadership—not just understanding them, but thinking about how to develop them within our own school communities. Beyond the learning, experiencing Dalmatian culture and meeting such passionate educators at the training centre "MAKSIMA" made the week especially memorable. I left Split feeling motivated, more confident in my leadership perspective and grateful for the connections I made. Jelena M. It was wonderful to meet so many people from different countries who are working for the same cause but in different ways. I highly recommend going on a course at the beginning of accreditation because it gives you lots of contacts to make use of. The course itself "Collaboration; Teamwork and Teambuilding" was superbly led by Dario who carried out many exercises with us and stories that gave us the opportunity to think about what is important in our work with teaching and daily life. Experiencing the Croatian culture gives an additional positive framework to the course.Posted on Teresa Olofsson2026-04-19Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This Erasmus+ KA1 training aims to equip educators with the competencies needed to integrate artistic expression, eco-art concepts, and digital technologies into their teaching approaches. In today’s world—where creativity, environmental responsibility, and digital fluency are increasingly essential—this blended method supports meaningful, future-oriented learning.
Erasmus Courses Croatia acknowledges the essential role educators play in shaping the next generation and values this interdisciplinary approach as a pathway to a deeper understanding of ecological thinking and digital literacy. This course encourages the combination of art, sustainability, and technology to boost environmental awareness, stimulate creative expression, and strengthen digital capabilities.

Exploring Art Forms in Education
This Erasmus+ KA1 programme helps teachers incorporate a variety of art forms into classroom practice. Artistic activities support the development of emotional expression, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking. Participants will be introduced to techniques in visual and video arts, clay sculpture, stop-motion animation, and integrating traditional music into creative projects. Through hands-on activities, educators will learn practical ways to motivate students and enhance learning by using artistic expression as a tool for both academic and personal development.

This course guides teachers in embedding eco-art into their lesson plans, allowing students to work with natural materials and repurposed items. Participants will explore eco-art principles and take part in workshops centered on ecological themes. By creating their own eco-art pieces, educators will gain experience in inspiring students to reflect critically on ecological challenges and take meaningful steps toward environmental stewardship.

Blending Digital Tools with Traditional Art
Using digital technologies in art education enhances digital literacy and brings a modern dimension to the learning experience. This module introduces digital tools, animation techniques, and video editing for creative projects. Teachers will learn how to design stop-motion animations, produce digital artworks, and combine traditional music elements with technological tools. By merging eco-art concepts, traditional art, and digital resources, educators will be empowered to guide students in using technology safely, thoughtfully, and creatively—skills essential for their digital futures.

Hands-On Learning with Nature and Technology in Split, Croatia

Learning takes place in inspiring natural surroundings—forests, seaside landscapes, and historic Roman architecture—offering a powerful backdrop for creativity and reflection.
These experiences promote both creative thinking and digital competence while highlighting the connections between human actions, natural resources, and technological advocacy. By learning in these remarkable spaces, educators gain a deeper appreciation for the environment and the potential of art and digital tools to support future activism, awareness, and community-oriented projects.
