Erasmus Croația – nu pot să exprim in cuvinte ce am simțit în săptămâna petrecută la acest curs. Totul a fost minunat!!! Deschiderea, empatia, dăruirea, răbdarea cu care profesorii ne-au întâmpinat, ne-au vorbit, ne-au explicat toate lucrurile( despre curs, despre locație, despre locurile pe care putem să le vizitam, unde putem să mâncăm și am mâncat cea mai bună înghețată din lume și am văzut cele mai frumoase locuri – mulțumim Ivana❤️ ) Informațiile pe care le-am primit ne-au ajutat să înțelegem că putem să facem învățarea mai distractivă cu ajutorul tehnologiei, că ne putem motiva elevii cu ajutorul tehnologiei, că ne putem ușura munca. Mulțumesc tuturor profesorilor pentru tot :Dario, Adela, Mariana și în special Ivanei ( cu ea am petrecut cel mai mult timp și a fost nevoită să ne răspundă la toate întrebările, să ne înțeleagă – fiecare vorbea mai mult pe limba lui!!!). Teacher training course Collaboration, Teamwork and Teambuilding in Dubrovnik, CroatiaI have to say the course was absolutely brilliant and it superseded my expectations.The course was held in Dubrovnik, which is a jewel on the Croatian Adriatic coast. Dubrovnik itself is a must-visit/see/experience – everyone will be charmed by this lovely city, its beautiful clear sea, clean and warm air, small museums and the music of the night buskers.Our course lasted 5 days, it was well-organised and inspiring. Dario’s classes were like going on an adventure, where he would guide us and open new possibilities for seeing things from a fresh point of view, by opening new doors which we either couldn’t see before or didn’t know existed. Dario is very competent and experienced; he taught at a steady pace and he never rushed. He was our teacher, guide and motivator; there was no time to ever feel tired or bored. He gave us a lot of useful and constructive information, many invaluable examples and tips, which, I am sure, every one of the participants of the course will carry forward into our classrooms, enriching our teaching practice and the learning experiences of our students.The course was also a great success because all the participants collaborated very well in building teamwork and surely our work achieved a synergy effect.I believe that the Erasmus+ programme has been a great opportunity to learn, cooperate and exchange teaching/learning experiences and I am already looking at the next course to enrol on.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Museums as hubs for digitalisation, innovation and interaction

In today’s society, museums and galleries are more relevant than they have ever been. In essence, museums have evolved from exclusive repositories of curated collections to inclusive, dynamic spaces that cater to a broad and diverse audience. They are hubs of education and culture oriented to create multidisciplinary spaces, integrating art, science, history and technology. Moreover, museums stimulate curiosity, a sense of wonder, that inspires and unleashes new ideas helping with professional and personal growth.

Explore important museums and tradition of Dubrovnik – the Pearl of Adriatic

We designed this course for teachers to experience a completely different learning environment that lets them develop creativity and critical thinking; analytical, observation and problem-solving skills. The participants will also explore how museum methods and pedagogies can help with their everyday curricular or extracurricular activities.

With our excellent teacher trainers, the participants will visit museum exhibitions and take part in various workshops that align with social and natural science subjects as well as new technologies.

Through the visit to the Old Town and City Walls of Dubrovnik – the non-typical living museum, the Cultural History and the Maritime Museum, the Red History Museuem, and the amazing island of Lokrum where according to legend Richard the Lion-Heart was cast ashore, the participants will also learn how museums collaborate with other schools and teachers in the town, and how they develop their projects.

Furthermore, in an informal environment, participants will have the chance to forge meaningful connections with colleagues from across Europe and familiarize themselves with Croatian local traditions, cultural heritage and natural beauties.

By the end of the course, the participants will gain a comprehensive and innovative toolkit to enrich their educational practices and help students learn better and think bigger.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course will help participants to:

• Develop critical thinking skills by analyzing information, making connections, and engaging in interpretive activities.
• Experience multisensory learning, enhancing retention and comprehension through visual, tactile, and auditory stimuli.
• Foster cultural literacy by appreciating different perspectives, traditions, and historical narratives.
• Recognize interdisciplinary connections, understanding how various disciplines overlap and influence each other.
• Acquire experiential knowledge through hands-on activities and interactive displays, applying theoretical concepts to practical situations.
• Cultivate curiosity and a sense of wonder, encouraging the habit of asking questions and seeking answers.
• Enhance communication skills through discussions, presentations, and written reflections about museum experiences.
• Foster civic awareness by addressing societal issues and encouraging reflection on individual roles in shaping a responsible citizenry.
